Mind Computing is seeking a Program Manager to join our growing team in support of the Department of Veteran Affairs, specifically the Financial Services Center (FSC). The FSC serves customers internally at the VA and other government agencies (OGA).
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Manage staff assigned to a specific product, provide performance reporting and status, and provide project management.
- Provide management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and leadership of the contractor staff execution for a product line.
- Provide day-to-day management guidance and direction to contractor personnel in the execution of tasks.
- Use proven product management and software development methodologies that assure that all contract-driven activities are identified, documented, and tracked so that the contract shall continuously be evaluated and monitored for timely and quality service.
- Function as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to align teams toward shared business and technology objectives.
- Proactively monitor the performance of products and provide expert input to VA leadership that will improve the overall maturity of the PMO.
- Support quality assurance over the program and product deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
- At least 6 years of experience leading a program using SAFe.
- Knowledge of product line management (PLM).
- Ability to work under deadline pressure while maintaining accuracy, quality, and detail.
- Experience with VA-approved tools (e.g., Agility, Jira, etc.) for supporting performance metrics for reporting purposes.
